Removing and refitting your curtains with the trap door centre piece

By hand

To remove:

  • Push the centre two white plastic lugs up with one hand.
  • With the other hand pull your curtains down through the openning.

The centre piece is like a trap door, keep it open with one hand while pulling the curtains off with the other.


To put back up:

  • Push gliders against trap door and slide in the direction of opening.

When you push the glider from the curtain against centre piece the two plastic lugs go up reveiling an opening, simply slide through the opening and onto track.

By Lifting Rod:

To remove:

  • Move all your curtains to the LHS.
  • Make sure the sliding handle of the lifting rod is slide fully down away from the red end.
  • Hold the lifting rod vertical and insert it into the hole with the 2 red ends facing to the left when the red ends touch the middle 2 white plastic pieces they push up and the 2 red ends should side in behind the track.
  • Gently tilt the lifting rod until the 2 red lugs at the back are lightly touching the track and the 2 red ends are under the track.
  • Grab the curtain with your other hand and pull it down onto the lifting rod.
  • Slide your curtains onto the lifting rod.
  • Once your curtains are fully on lifting rod tilt the lifting rod vertical and take down.
  • Slide your curtains off the lifting rod.

If the red end falls of the lifting rod simply slide back on - this is meant to come off if too much stress is put on the lifting rod to protect it from breaking.


To put back up:

  • Make sure the sliding handle of the lifting rod is slide fully down away from the red end.
  • Feed your curtains onto the lifting rod the right way around.
  • Hold the lifting rod vertical and insert it into the hole with the 2 red ends facing to the left when the red ends touch the middle 2 white plastic pieces the plastic pieces should push up and the 2 red ends should side in behind the track.
  • Gently tilt the lifting rod until the 2 red lugs at the back are lightly touching the track and the 2 red ends are under the track.
  • While supporting the weight of the curtains with your shoulder take the handle of the lifting rod and gently slide it up.
  • Your curtains should now slide onto the track.
  • Slide the handle back down. (Important or it stay in the track and you can't take it out.)
  • Move rod back to vertical position and remove from track.
